Axarduscar, es depositar en el «xardu» las castañas para que con el calor y los humos que se escapan del fuego del lar, se consiga que estas castañas se tornen en mayucas (duras). Este tecu no tiene más aplicación que el pudrirse en las caleyas y'esfaese 'n bun cuchu, (callejas haciéndose en un buen abono). Un escritor de Bable famoso de nuexa Tierrina, a pesar que su vocabulario no llegaba a la veintena de palabras de la ancestral Lengua Asturiana, escribió una vez en cierta narración dándoselas de entendido, que con el tecu ou tescu, se industriaban excelentes piensos para las caballerías.
